The Future of Kith
I’ve been thinking recently that whilst I know what’s going on behind the scenes, all the planning, organising, training and preparation, there’s a lot which you don’t know. I thought it might be time to pull you all into the loop and let you know what the future of Kith looks like.
A Secret Garden in the Making
My grown up tools for today. Shiny and clean, ready for action. I’ve been a bit slow off the mark getting the garden ready for the growing season. Truth be told, I was a little overwhelmed. Silly right. We’ve spent 2 years growing and tending the space but this year feels different.

Permission to Play
This is your permission slip to play. Whatever that looks like for you. If you need to sit and rest, that’s ok. If you want to craft and create, you go for it. If you want to run through the field or climb a tree, please please feel free to. Get out of your own way and let that inner child be wild.

Desire Lines in Education
Providing an insight into off-piste paths that veer away from mainstream education and their implications on future planning.
What you can expect at Kith
Each week you can expect something different, the changing seasons always giving us something to explore and learn together. An idea, story, poem or activity helps us understand or at least gives us pause for thought, making these changes easily digested for our youngest adventurers.
7 Days of Nature
Try not to overthink what it means to connect with nature, taking a deep breath of fresh air can be the best start. Children have an innate ability to connect with nature, simply by being outside, follow their lead and let them show you the simplicity of it all.
Here you’ll find 7 ways to reset your nature connection.

Adventures With Little B
That wonderful silence of dawn in the autumn, not even the birds were particularly chirpy. It felt safe and cosy amongst the trees and before long we were sat under the canopy of a beautiful beech tree in its autumn colours.
Adventures With Little B
I’m sure like many out there, if we don’t manage to get out for a breath of fresh air during the day our house becomes a place of utter chaos. A little whirlwind ensues and the only thing to do is either join in, or get out!

Taking a moment…
So as I scan to find it, I breathe a content breath, stop and smile. This all happened in a few milliseconds, it was a frivolous act of joyful simplicity. It filled me up in the tiniest of ways and genuinely gave me a bounce to my step as I swung the paint can at my side walking to the checkout

The Importance of a Dragon Tail
As B and I were spinning on the lawn, twirling our Dragon Tails behind us, the feeling of being so free and so playful was almost overwhelming. Life seemed easy, carefree and with it came a surge of inspiration. In the middle of our playful dances, I let go of all the heavy to-do list needs and the ever growing list of jobs to tick off. I saw the Homestead in a childlike way all whilst enjoying the ease of moving on short grass with bare feet.

It’s so much more than sowing a seed
We recently began the seasonal sowing of seeds for our veg garden. Whilst he flung soil from the compost to every corner of our yard I tried to remain in a zen state, “I can sweep it up afterwards, he needs this more than I do right now” I thought to myself. My little sensory seeker needed the earth on his hands… and in the air in that moment.
