I’m so so excited to be introducing this wonderful Waldorf handcraft course to Kith. Led by Anthea Stock, children will be introduced to the basics of knitting. A skill which is invaluable to them as they grow. Getting to understand the process through stories and rhymes, learning all the different components of the craft and becoming confident to take it home and continue.
Working in the calming yurt space to knit, they will also have a time to move outside, have a snack and drink and be led gently through this magical skill.
We’re incredibly lucky to be led by Anthea Stock, a fully qualified very experienced Steiner Waldorf teacher. Anthea has been working in Waldorf Schools for the past 24 years, mainly in the beautiful Botton Village Steiner school. She also worked at the Beechtree Steiner School for a couple of years helping to expand the kindergarten into a school.
She began her career teaching French and German and then quickly moved onto teaching handwork; knitting, crochet and cross stitch. After becoming a class teacher teaching children up to 12, she now teaches a small mixed aged group of children at Moorland Waldorf School. Her love of teaching shines through, we can’t wait to welcome her to Kith.
