Rainbows Visit
Thursday 10th October
4.30-6pm
Hi there everyone,
I hope you’re ready for your grand Kith adventure this week. The land is ready and looking so beautiful in the turn of the season, perfect for little adventurers. The weather looks a little… undecided so we’ll be watching the forecast, a typical Yorkshire autumn day really, but nothing we can’t handle.
Below you’ll find more information about what your child should bring and what they can expect, as well as tips for the parking.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and sharing some of the wonderful seasonal treats we have at this time of the year.
See you soon,
Lorna
Kit List:
Essentials
Check these off as you go and please make sure your little ones know what’s in their own bag…
Wellies - ideal for taking off and putting back on after visiting the yurt space.
Layers. We can’t stress this enough, send your children with plenty of spares to put on when they need it.
Spares.
Be sure to have enough layers in their kit bag if the weather turns. A change of clothes is highly recommended (socks, pants, trousers, long sleeved top) even for those children who wouldn’t usually need it.
A lightweight snuggly jumper is always appreciated when they get cold
Put it all in a plastic bag inside their main backpack. If their bag gets wet, then at least their spare clothes stay dry and vice versa.
Waterproof coat
Nothing precious or special to be worn or brought to the Homestead. The long grass, mud and woodland floor gobbles things!
A drink of water/juice. We don’t have access to running water so please make sure the children have enough. We have a main water tank to fill up from but it’s limited.
Long hair tied up (or something to tie hair up with) for when they’re around the fire.
A plastic bag for any soggy clothes/treasures etc
Bonus parent points - a snack for the way home and clean dry clothes… just in case!
Finding Us:
Have a read through the information here about how to find us.
Please note, there are a considerable number of you visiting this time so please be extra patient when dropping off/picking up. We have a very tiny car park!
You can turn around further up the lane if you need to. It’s a dead end (farm house) at the end so there shouldn’t be any traffic.
More about Kith
If you’re keen to learn more about Kith and what we do on the homestead, please feel free to have a browse through the website. You’ll find information about our values, the sessions we offer, upcoming events, things you can do at home and articles we’ve written over the years.
See you all really soon, Lorna
