January with Kith - week 2

This second week of #januarywithkith we’re heading into our homestead skills.

The little, often unnoticed, things we do to keep our little homestead going. The essence of homestead life is tending, making connections between the land, its flora and fauna and us as people. There’s a big hefty caveat to this week though, it’s the beautiful season of winter we’re in. This week we’ve begun with a thick icy frost blanketing the ground and with temperatures hovering a fraction above 0oc, any ground work or big maintenance is going to have to wait. But, there’s always a grand list of have-to’s, needs and desires when you look after a home so we won’t be twiddling our thumbs. Join us as we tend the land and what connects us to it.
